MASTHEAD · PRESSSPARK MEDIA PTE. LTD.
About the Craig Road newsroom
PressSpark is an independent digital news publication based on Craig Road in the Tanjong Pagar district — an originating reporting desk serving Singapore and APAC readers across five editorial sections plus enterprise features.
Who we are
PressSpark Media Pte. Ltd. operates a street-level digital newsroom from 18 Craig Road, #02-01, Singapore 089676. Our editors, correspondents and desk reporters publish originating journalism — not republished press releases, not aggregated rumour, and not content paid for by subjects. We cover Singapore, Business, Technology, APAC and Enterprise for professionals, students, procurement teams and decision-makers who want current affairs checked and told straight.
Our slogan — "Every story starts with a spark — reporting that lights it, checks it, and tells it straight" — describes how we work. The Spark Sheet front page is a bright broadsheet layout: readable type, clear section rails, and a visible "what sparked it" box when provenance helps readers judge a piece. Explainers and enterprise features take longer than headline updates, but receive the same editorial standards: clear labelling, generic sourcing where anonymity protects contributors, and prompt corrections when we get something wrong.
EDITORIAL VALUES
Accuracy, fairness and transparent labels
Our masthead commits to journalism in the public interest. That means distinguishing news from analysis, opinion from reporting, and any sponsored content from editorial coverage. We verify claims before headline publication where practicable, attribute information to sources readers can evaluate, and maintain a corrections channel open to reader requests.
Independent media matter in APAC, where readers deserve outlets that explain policy, supply chains and regional business without sensationalism or partisan campaigning. We protect confidential sources where appropriate and welcome story tips through our contact channels — the spark of a story often arrives from a reader who saw something we had not yet checked.
What we cover
Five sections plus enterprise reporting structure the front page and daily feed: Singapore, Business, Technology, APAC and Enterprise. Politics and current affairs appear across desks as stories demand — always with section chips and bylines so readers know the framing. Our flagship long-reads demonstrate the depth we aim for on evergreen topics relevant to the region, from semiconductor supply chains to grid interconnectivity policy.
We publish fresh reporting on the latest feed and send an optional morning digest to members. Subscribers from S$7/month help fund desks; advertising provides additional revenue. Both are labelled and walled off from editorial decision-making — no paid-for news articles, no native content disguised as dispatch reporting.
What PressSpark is not
PressSpark is an independent digital news portal — not a PR wire, not a marketing agency, and not a lifestyle brand trading on aesthetics instead of sourcing. The word "spark" on our masthead describes the originating moment when a tip or data point becomes a story worth checking — editorial metaphor, not a promise of instant virality or influencer commerce.
Paying PressSpark does not buy favourable coverage or guarantee publication of a press release. We are a newsroom that produces its own reporting, with editorial standards, corrections and clear labelling — built for readers who value trust and transparency across Singapore and the wider APAC region. The .life domain reflects our focus on living current affairs, not a wellness or lifestyle product line.
Funding and membership
PressSpark is funded by labelled advertising and optional reader membership starting from S$7/month. Neither revenue stream influences which stories we pursue or how headlines are written. Sponsored or affiliate content, if published, is clearly marked and separated from newsroom reporting. We do not present financial, legal or medical advice.
Our Singapore context matters: we operate under local corporate registration (UEN 202628173K), respect PDPA obligations for reader data, and maintain newsroom hours Mon–Fri 07:00–19:00 SGT. Hosting infrastructure is based in Singapore, with editorial operations centred on our low-floor Craig Road office — a street-level newsroom, not an anonymous content farm.
